An intimate evening of live readings from Eliza Carter’s poetry and the works of her contemporaries, illuminated by candlelight in the historic parlor. Local actors and poets bring the words to life, accompanied by harp and violin music inspired by 1850s salon performances. Tea and light refreshments will be served in the dining room following the reading.
