The Poet’s Desk

Permanent Collections

Manuscripts, journals, and fragments from Eliza’s study.

Eliza’s small oak writing desk still looks out upon the maples she once described as “flames of the soul.” Her surviving drafts and letters - ink-blotted, folded, and lovingly mended - reveal the daily rhythms of a woman writing against silence.
